Understand the Why Behind the Behavior
Learn to recognize what happens right before and after your Learner's behavior, the patterns that keep it going. This shifts you from reacting in the moment to responding with a clear plan.
Strategies You Can Use the Same Day
Every lesson translates clinical concepts into practical steps for daily routines like mealtimes, transitions, and requests. No prior ABA background required.
Built on the Same Framework BCBAs Use
This course is grounded in the clinical reasoning used in professional behavior support plans, adapted for home use. You get a credible, structured approach rather than generic parenting tips.
Who this Course is For
→ Parents of a Learner who engages in behaviors that are difficult to understand or manage, such as tantrums, refusal, or difficulty with transitions → Parents who want a structured, evidence-based way to understand behavior rather than general parenting advice → Parents currently receiving ABA services who want to reinforce strategies at home → Parents without a clinical background who want practical, usable guidance This course does not replace individualized ABA services. It is designed to support parents with general strategies and is not a substitute for an individualized assessment or treatment plan.
About the course
Your child refuses to transition from a preferred activity, and the response that follows is difficult to manage or predict. You have tried waiting it out, explaining, or giving in, with inconsistent results. At mealtimes, only a few foods are accepted, and introducing anything new leads to refusal or escalation. It is unclear whether this reflects a sensory issue, a learned pattern, or something else. In a supermarket, airport, mall, a single instruction or denied request can trigger a reaction that feels sudden and hard to prevent. These situations are common, and they are rarely about defiance. Behavior typically serves a function, and once that function is identified, the response becomes clearer. This course, developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, teaches parents how to recognize what is happening before and after these moments, and what that pattern indicates about how to respond. No clinical background is required. If you are managing these situations on your own, or know a parent who is, this course offers a structured, evidence-based starting point.
Bahij Khouzami, M.Ed., BCBA, IBA, CDA
I am Bahij Khouzami, BCBA, Founder and Clinical Director of Autism Intervention Specialists (AIS) in Dubai, and Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis at Greenfort University. I currently supervise active cases across home, center, and school settings, and this course reflects the same clinical reasoning I apply in practice, not material developed once and left static. I also teach this content at the graduate level, which shapes how it is structured for accuracy and clarity. I built this course because parents are often given advice that sounds reasonable but does not hold up in daily practice. My focus, in clinical work and in teaching, is making sure guidance is practical, evidence-based, and something families can actually use.
